NCF HOLDS INAUGURAL BOARD MEETING, AGM IN KADUNA | (2009-07-05 )

The reconstituted Board of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) will hold its inaugural Board meeting on Friday 10th July, 2009 in Kaduna during the finals of the National Cricket Club championships.
 
The Board is made up of Kwesi Sagoe(President), Yahaya Ukwenya(1st Vice-President), Soki Dakoru(2nd Vice-President), Hon Bappa Misau, Okon Ukpong, Saidu El-Buba, Alfa Mohammed, Bimbo Sowoolu, Dr A.O Okunbor and Col A.O Okoh.
 
Deliberations are expected to centre around establishing a vision for the Federation for 2010 to 2013, appointing Board Committee members, endorsing the 2008 Audited accounts to the AGM for approval and other businesses.
 
Also the recently released ICC rankings that places Nigeria 39th globally and 6th in Africa is also expected to be deliberated in addition to reports of the senior team's performance at the WCL 7 in Guernsey, the U-19 team's performance at the CWCQ in Zambia and the U-13 team's performance in the North-West Africa U-13 tournament in Ghana.  
 
Similarly in line with the corporate governance principles adopted by the NCF since 2006, the body would hold its Annual General Meeting(AGM) on Saturday 11th July, 2009 also in Kaduna to among others approve the audited accounts for the financial year ended 31st December, 2008.
 
 
 
The AGM is expected to attract the attendance of about 20 cricket-playing states
