ICC Global One Day rankings 26 May 09 | (2009-05-27 )

Based on its third place position in WCL 7 behind Bahrain and hosts Guernsey, Nigeria is now
ranked 39th in the world in the ICC Global One day Internationals(ODI) rankings dated
26th May, 2009 just released.

The next WCL 7 will take place in 2011 and will be constituted by Nigeria and Japan who retain
their slots, while two teams will drop from the WCL 6 scheduled for September, 2009 in Singapore; whilst two teams will be promoted from the newly formed WCL 8.

The re-elected NCF President, Kwesi Sagoe is delighted with the global ranking which puts Nigerian Cricket on the world horizon and affirms that the 39th placement will represent the benchmark for assessing the growth of our game in future.
