Nigeria Cricket Federation(NCF) and is expected to serve as the nursery of talent
For future U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 national cricket teams.
The innovation introduced by the NCF is that after the second round, subsequent
rounds will be played by zonal teams selected from the best talent in each zone as
opposed to the current school representation. It is expected that this will produce
stronger zonal teams thereby raising the standard of the competition.
The final round is expected to be played in Lagos in March, 2009.
