3RD NATIONAL CRICKET CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS - OWERRI SET FOR SOUTH-EAST/ SOUTH-SOUTH QUALIFIER | (2008-05-20 )

The South-East/South-South zonal qualifier for the 3rd National Cricket Club Championships

will take place over the weekend at the Government Secondary School, Owerri. The place in

the finals will be contested by the representative clubs of Anambra, Imo and Rivers States.

Last year the Anambra State team emerged from the play-offs to represent the zone at the

finals of the tournament scheduled for June 6-8 in Abuja.

The Lagos Asians Cricket Club (LACC) of Lagos and Integrity Force Cricket Club of Benin have

already qualified for the finals as winners of the Club Cricket Committee (CCC) League in Lagos

and Edo League in Benin respectively.
